About us

For almost five decades, IHR Automotive has been a leading sales and marketing service provider in the automotive aftermarket. As a second-generation family-owned company, we've built a legacy of trust and expertise, supporting sales and marketing activities in 29 countries across Northern, Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.
Our success is built on a vast network of over 500 wholesalers, covering everything from passenger cars to heavy machinery. We work with major OEM and aftermarket suppliers of spare parts and accessories from Europe, North America, Japan, and the Middle East, ensuring our clients connect with the markets.
Our team of 35 dedicated sales, marketing, and technical experts, strategically located in 10 offices throughout the region, possesses first-hand knowledge of our diverse markets. This deep understanding, combined with our commitment to innovation and a clear results focus, makes us a reliable and trusted partner for your business.
Our Story:
  • 1976: Company founded in Fellbach near Stuttgart by Willi Hofmeister and Karl-Heinz Rumpf as a trading and sales service company for industrial goods between Germany and Central Europe.
  • 1990: Company focus shifts to the automotive aftermarket; offices opened in Prague and Warsaw.
  • 1994 – 1999: Further expansion with additional offices in Brasov, Budapest, Moscow (closed since 2022), Kyiv, and Vilnius.
  • 2017: Expansion of service area to Southeast Europe; establishment of office in Belgrade in 2019.
  • 2024: Establishment of office in Tbilisi, Georgia, to cover the Caucasus and Central Asia region.
  • 2025: Gabriele Hofmeister-Härtling and Matthias Rumpf appointed as managing directors.
